Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Capa ("the App"). By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

The App lets you record coffee beans and brewing recipes, and share selected content with other users.

OCR recognition and automatic extraction of bean package information
Storing, viewing, editing, deleting, and favoriting bean records
Taste rating, tasting notes, and cup-note recording
Recipe creation, brew-step timer, and favorites
Use of champion recipes (default brewing recipes provided by the App)
Recipe share toggle to switch between public and private
Posting comments, replies, and likes on other users' shared recipes
Automatic multilingual translation display (Korean / English / Japanese) for comments and recipe titles/descriptions

You must not collect or misuse others' personal information.
You must not interfere with the normal operation of the App.
You must comply with applicable laws and these Terms.
You must not post abusive, hateful, spam, advertising, or illegal comments or recipes.
You must not post content that infringes others' copyrights, portrait rights, or trademarks.

When you set a recipe to "public," your nickname, recipe title, steps, description, and received comments become visible to other users.
You may set a recipe back to "private" at any time; private recipes are no longer visible to other users.
All comments are displayed with the author's nickname. Nicknames may be auto-generated or set by the user, and user-set nicknames may be subject to a change restriction period (7 days).
Reported comments may be temporarily auto-hidden for admin review, and may be permanently hidden or restored based on the review outcome.
Comments and recipe titles/descriptions may be automatically translated by Claude (Anthropic) for display to users of other languages. By posting, you agree to this automatic translation.
Champion recipes are brewing recipes statically provided by the App; your own favorites and usage history are tied to your account only.

You retain ownership of photos, records, recipes, and comments you upload to the App.
For recipes and comments you set to "public," you grant the App a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display the content to other users and to provide it via automatic translation.
Intellectual property rights to the App's design, software, and logos belong to the developer.

Data created in guest (anonymous) mode will be automatically migrated to your account when you sign in with a social provider. Temporary network failures or similar issues may cause migration to fail; in that case, it will be retried automatically on the next app launch.
If the same social account is already registered, your anonymous data will be merged into that social account.

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
We do not guarantee the accuracy of OCR, AI-based (Anthropic Claude) information extraction, or automatic translation results. You are responsible for reviewing auto-extracted information before saving.
We are not liable for service interruptions caused by network failures, device malfunctions, or other force majeure events.
We are not liable for data loss caused by user negligence, device changes, or app uninstallation (especially data created in guest mode).
The App is not responsible for the accuracy, appropriateness, or legality of shared recipes or comments posted by other users.

You may delete the App or terminate your account from the settings at any time.
Upon termination, personally identifiable information and photos are immediately deleted; recipes, comments, and rating data shared with the community may be retained in anonymized form (to preserve statistical/aggregation integrity).
To request deletion of additional anonymous (guest) data, please contact us via the email listed in Section 10.

Any changes to these Terms will be announced within the App in advance.
If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you may discontinue use of the service.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
